It looks like someone over at Verizon just couldn’t wait for the official Pixel November update announcement and decided to drop the details ahead of time! According to our friends at 9to5Google, Big Red has let us in on what’s coming for the Pixel series, particularly the Pixel 9 lineup, and this isn’t just a run-of-the-mill update. It packs some extra punch for Google’s latest flagships.

This November update is all about fixing those little annoyances we’ve seen popping up on Google’s newest darlings following the release of the stable Android 15 update, namely the Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Here’s what’s coming in the AP3A.241105.008 update:

  • Security boost: Fresh security patches to keep your Pixel safe and sound.
  • Bluetooth fixes: That pesky issue with Bluetooth range under certain conditions? Consider it sorted.
  • Camera calibrations: Say goodbye to that odd tilt when zooming between cameras. The fix is on the way.
  • Sensor adjustments: Adaptive brightness will finally play nice and kick in when it should—no more screen-glow wrestling.
  • Keyboard touch tweaks: A minor but welcome fix for the keyboard dismiss button not responding right away.
  • Smoother UI transitions: Google’s also throwing in some polish with general performance improvements to keep animations smooth and glitch-free.
  • White dot mystery solved: If you’ve noticed little white dots flashing on your screen, Verizon says that’s now a thing of the past.

For those of you rocking a Pixel 6, 7, or 8, the November update is a bit more modest but still comes with welcome improvements. Your changelog entries (AP3A.241105.007) include:

  • Security patches: Keeping your Pixel locked down with the latest security goodness.
  • UI Performance and stability: Expect smoother UI animations to make everyday tasks that much snappier.

Now here’s the twist — Google’s November update for Pixel devices should have dropped on Monday, November 5, according to Verizon. But as of now, no official rollout has happened, and Google has been keeping mum about the delay. Considering the Android 15 update landed right in the middle of October, maybe Google’s just taking its time to add some extra polish. A release could be just around the corner, though, so keep an eye on that update notification.

With 9to5Google on the case, we’re now all geared up for this release—just waiting for Google to finally press the green button.
